((OOC: This is based off no books, purely my imagination. There are some influences from 'Lords of Magic', as well as 'The X-Files'. The history of the world is an extract from one of the novels I'm writing: Dawn. It was when I'm writing the prologue that I thought of creating this site. =)))
A few centuries later
The world slowly rebuilt itself. Year after year, plants grew, and animals slowly dared to inhibit the land. The survivors of the apocalypse began to build their homes again. But their survival, was not without a cost.
Some of the humans evolved, to escape from the effects of the toxins, becoming faster, stronger, and possessing more abilities than the normal humans. They were known as the Eves.
It was during a bloody conflict, that a huge war erupted; and Gemini was formed. It was a world split off from Earth during a war between the users of magic and the humans. After a long, drawn out war, it was decided that; using the technology available, the users of magic should live on another world, one known as Gemini.
However, a few of the humans found a way to get into Gemini, through a strange portal found in Roswell, New Mexico. Together, they had traveled through the portal, emerging in Gemini.
Now, a millennium later, the humans and the magic users, known as the Eves, coexists peacefully, never aware that the peace in the land was a result of, the elves’ sacrifice. The elves were great enemies of the elves due to a bloody battle between them in the past.
As the two worlds collide, only one would remain standing…
The Eves
The Eves are the last of the magic users from Earth. They arrived in Gemini after a long and bloody war against the humans, which had resulted in many losses on each side. The war started due to a misunderstanding between the humans and the magic users. In an effort to end the war, the Eves made a pact with the humans; that they would not live on Earth any longer, and they had to find a portal which would take them to Gemini.
The Eves are magic users, and they are born with a certain ability, be it controlling the elements, or telepathy. However, they are only born with one ability, nothing more.
The Wolves
Despite their name, the wolves aren't really wolves, but werewolves. In the day, they are human, behaving exactly like you and me. But at night, they transform into wolves. The Wolves aren't really as vicious as some might think. Like us, they strive for peace, and mostly spend their time in Genesis.
Wolves are enemies of the Elves, due to a great war between them long ago over the rights to the land. Both of them were living in Gemini ever since the creation of the universe. However, the younger generation of wolves has less prejudices against the Elves, some managing to become friends.
The Elves
The Elves are elegant creatures, with pointed ears and pale skin. Elves are one of the least trustful species in Gemini. They do not trust easily, and were wary of any other people other than their own. Elves do not believe in any religion. They are very open minded, and are willing to embrace new ideas.
Elves mix with the people inhibiting Gemini cautiously, not trusting anyone. They hide their ears when they are outside their home in Norfolk.
Elves and Wolves are enemies, but the Elves are relatively more open to friendship between them.
The Royal Guard
Consisting of 15 members, the Royal Guard patrols the lands of Gemini, arresting and dealing with unsavory persons who arrived through the portals and wreak havoc upon the land. Sometimes ruthless in their hunt, they were feared and admired throughout the land.

History
---London, March 21 2057
A lone wolf howls; a cold chilling sound that echoed in the deep dark of the woods of London. The cold wind blew through the woods, rustling the dark dried leaves along the forest floors. A loud hiss sounded and the forest quieted. The animals stilled as they waited in anticipation of what is to come. A loud snap followed soon after, and if one looks closely, they would be able to glimpse a brief flash of green, before the darkness closed upon them once more.

‘To go or not to?’ seventeen years old Azumi Tagahashi gazed into the flames, contemplating her fate. The humans were now a hunted species. Animals have mutated rapidly to evade the pollutants that were now harming the earth’s surface. Homo sapiens did not mutate that quickly though. Only a small group of individuals managed to adapt to the rapidly disintegrating environment. Even so, they were no match for Nature. The earth had changed much over the 50 years. The increased burning of fossil fuels had caused a rapid increase in global warming. The ice shelves in West Antarctica; the size of Greenland, melted in the span of just 5 years. The Netherlands was submerged under 30 feet of water. In some cases, whole islands were flooded, disappearing into the depts. of the seas. The militants bombed her hometown of Tokyo a few years back and she was evacuated to the States. Her family was killed by the animals not after days after arriving.
Azumi was all alone now. Smoke curled from one of the now empty houses across the street. She was one of the last ones to leave this land for the underground suburbs. All the other children in the hostel where they lived have left with their families. Tears began to roll down her alabaster cheeks as she thought of her family. Her family. Once, they were happy, a joyous five. But this earth have taken them away from her. It stole them from me, she thought bitterly. So engrossed was she in her memories that Azumi did not notice the cold shadow creeping up on her. A low hiss sounded. A muffled scream of horror. Azumi felt excruciating pain. Darkness surrounded her as she slipped into the cold chasm of death. And the lone wolf howled.

The waves beat angrily upon the city’s buildings. Cars half submerged under torrents of mud-stained water. Almost no signs of civilization were left. Rubble strewn across the ground, testifying to the tremendous earthquake that occurred a few weeks ago. Sometimes, a lone wolf howls, amidst the cries of children who had lost their parents. A small, shivering boy sat by a small fire. He was clothed in a thin robe; bare, dirt flecked feet peeking out from the frayed hems of the robe.
Matted hair covered his head, his eyes, once full of life and energy, are now dead. This destruction of the Earth has gone on for long enough. He had lost everything he held dear. His family, and worse of all, the person dearest to his heart; his little sister, Joelle. Her death was all the fault of those horrendous militants. They had stormed into their house one day, taking everyone captive before bombing the place.
Akira felt his heart break when he saw the lifeless body of his Joelle mauled by the animals. Once full of life, excitement pouring from her very soul; now lying there, never to move again. He was so deep within his thoughts that he never did notice the dagger flying towards him, and the pain when it shot clean through his heart. The fires lapped hungrily at his face as he fell into the flames. Deep in the surrounding woods, the greyhounds bayed.

Joanna woke up with a loud yawn. Squinting, she tried to turn back to sleep, but found that the way was blocked by her brother, Johann. He was slumped flat against the bed; still. Joanna started to panic when she realized that he was laying at a odd angle, a dark red stain on the floor. Joanna started screaming in horror as she realized that her brother was dead. At that moment, a large creature pounced on her, and all went black.

Rachel woke up with a start, heart pounding furiously. She kept having the same nightmares about animals taking her family. She lost her whole family two months ago, to the wild foxes who now populated this region. She turned back and tried to sleep. For some reason, she kept getting the feeling that someone was watching her, very very closely.
Rachel sighed. She laid back down on the bad, thinking of happier times.
A low growl sounded in the corner.
Rachel started, spinning around, whipping out her rusty swiss army knife. She was too late though. The last thought that was on her mind was that she was finally going to meet her family.
And all went dark.
---Baltimore, Maryland, August 5, 2060
Everything was pitch black. Everywhere, only moans were heard. Dark, skittering animals haunted every corner, the dead lay on the roads, bleeding from multiple wounds. Those who were dead for a few days had a pale grey skin tone. The darkness looms, shadowing everything. It was all destroyed, Everything. Everything they worked for from the beginning of time. THEY destroyed it. Everything, all of their creations. The dark figure who had descended from the clouds clenched his fist in anger. They’ve failed. They’ve failed everyone, and everything they’ve stood for. He did not take failure well, especially when there was such high stakes. A gathering of storm clouds marked the arrival of another of their kind.
“What are we going to do now, Kathrin?” he asked.
The woman who descended from the cloud let out a grim smile, “We wait, Ogen, we wait.”
